Well done Merchant Ivory piece. It has two stories, one of Mr Stevens and Miss Kenton unrequited love. The other of Lord Darlington’s connection to the Nazi’s and his influence on getting England to sign the non-aggression pact with Germany. Started off kind of slow, but by the end I really was riveted to watch it through. The very last scene is a bit too heavy-handed, I suppose I shouldn’t expected different from James Ivory.
