William S Burroughs on a drug-induced hallucination in the North African Interzone. He even hallucinated the drugs he was taking. Interzone is a free tariff area on the north African coast renowned for its homosexual boys. Bill is sent to Interzone by his controlling agent, a type-writer cockroach. I would say it suspends reality more then Fear and Loathing. It jumps through time and place without any sort of indication, only conversations about things we did not see. Not to mention the ridiculousness of the plot. Perhaps it only takes place when Bill is fucked up.
