Gus van Sant’s first major film. Matt Dillon as an addict who leads a gang in drug store raids in the 1970s. Surprisingly simple raids, mostly involve dumping pills into bags. An interesting, entertaining film. It was great to see William S. Burroughs in it. Follows alot of conventions but comes out as an original work.
