An elderly Japanese couple make a trip to visit their children in Tokyo. When they arrive they are met with ungrateful children to busy for their parents. Except their loving Daughter in law, whose husband died several years previously. A nice depressing film about life as a disappointment. The children have all moved away from their parents by distance and emotion. During her mothers funeral, a daughter can barely be brought to the inconvenience of crying.
