This film begins so much classier then Bowling for Columbine or Roger and Me. The September 11, sequence was close to perfection. So were the opening credits with the makeup (And Futura, the font of filmmakers). But Moore still seems he can’t go beyond scenes like the women crying after talking to the Iraqi. I suppose it is his populism and if it works with the public, then it’s doing the job. Currently a bunch of films have come out in the wake of Bowling for Columbine. Hopefully Fahrenheit 911 will spawn a new, even better bunch of political films. Through I do find it a bit depressing, Moore is the vanguard for this.
