Very good, very weird. A three year old in Danzig rejects the adult world and stops growing. And he stays that way for 17 or so years through world war two. The tin drum his reason for existence. Despite staying three he lives a full life, he has a pop rock love affair, joins the midget Nazi circus and fathers a son. Excellent.
