The Coens first miss in a long time. Fargo, Big Lebowski, O Brother Where Art Thou, The Man Who Wasn’t There, then this. Don’t get me wrong, its funny and it wasn’t everything I feared it would be. But Intolerable Cruelty is a sell out, an attempt at a Hollywood friendly romantic comedy, lacking most of the Coen’s signature style.
