Excellent. The rise of drugs and gangs in the slums of Rio de Janerio, the area known as the City of God. The multiple stories of rival gangs, figureheads, brothers and friends are told through the narration of Rocket young a hopeful photographer who avoids the lure of violence. The acting, the writing, the editing, the mise-en-scene all excellent. Even the type was good. City of God doesn’t have a misstep, it is captivating throughout.
