The film as it was presented in the theater was cut up with a butcher knife, resulting in a hard to piece together story and little connection to any of the soldiers. A film with soldiers on the ground in Iraq shouldn’t result in viewers fighting to stay awake. I don’t know what happened, a segment on constructing makeshift armor played on Democracy Now a few months ago that was compelling and told a complete story. The theatrical release felt like it was edited on iMovie.
