Robert Altman’s reworking of a Raymond Chandler novel, depicting Philip Marlowe as an apathetic antihero played perfectly by Elliott Gould. It’s the same witty comments, a bit more smart-assed and this time Marlowe doesn’t get a girl. In fact Marlowe seems so cool and detached he doesn’t even want the girl. But he does loose his cat and that is a downer.
