I feel as though Sin City vindicated both Kill Bill and Sky Captain. It takes incredible violence and the physically impossible sets and not only wraps them around the stories written for the very purpose. But unlike Kill Bill or Sky Captain, Sin City is cohesive enough that every element not only supports but enhances the other. Unlike most adaptations, it is a comic book in crisp black and white with a splash’s of color. It’s hard to summarize all my thoughts on Sin City, suffice to say I was very impressed and enjoyed it a great deal.
