The story of a married man’s infatuation with a stewardess, that results in the ruination of his life. Two things seem to be of particular interest. At least two scenes being filmed in Day for Night are from Soft Skin. One scene involving a cat that doesn’t like milk, is cut short in Soft Skin probably due to the number of takes. Also there is a constantly focus on light switches, automobile clutches, the straight view out a windshield, with very quick cuts. The film becomes very stylized, it at times started to resemble Darren Aronofsky. Love in the modern world? I suppose it is airline stewardess.
