I’ve had this one a queue for years. Harold, a youth of as certain age and affluence, is looking for some sort of direction in life. He stages suicide attempts and frequents funerals where he meets Maude, an elderly woman of a certain age who lives a full life, of art, theft and radical politics. As one review put it, it’s like Fight Club, but without the fights or the club. It’s a love story embedded in an absurdist dark comedy.
