In a word disappointing. I didn’t even know that Terry Gilliam had a new movie (He also has another one out this year Tidelands, which seems much more Gilliam, or at least much better.) I suppose he had to make something to eradicate the daemons of the Man of La Mancha. Probably one direct result of La Mancha is that the majority of this film takes place in soundstages. It felt like it could have gone somewhere with the ideas it address about the Grimm Brothers early existence. But instead it just sort of flounders in predictability.
