It felt like you needed to watch Dogtown and Z-Boys to make sense of this film. Unfortunately I haven’t. The Lords of Dogtown shares a problem I often have with biographical movies, they never introduce the characters in any meaningful way. Instead I’m presented with a series of events and have to grapple at assembling who is who, to make sense of them.
