There is something I deeply don’t understand about this film. I understand it formally, I get the story, but I couldn’t for the life of me actually get into it. It wasn’t immersive at all. I sat watching it for three hours waiting for it to start. I just don’t get it. I’m thinking that Robert Altman is to me like Goddard. A director whose films I remember as much better, then they are to watch.
