A supremely well constructed documentary of a dysfunctional family destroyed. It creates a truth, backs it up with convincing evidence, then tears it down several times. It is hard to know if anything was true or false, if the Father or the Son is guilty or innocent. It leaves more questions then answers and teases with possible truths. Through out it is footage shot by the Friedmans, a family of amateur performers that documented their own demise. A great film that days later is still in your head.
