Finally watched it on DVD after months of wanting to see it. It does stay amazing close to the short story, it feels exactly like it. Probably the most faithful adaptation I have ever seen. One added element I didn’t get a feeling of from the story, was that of America in Texas and Wyoming. Granted its set 20-40 years ago, but feels like a different country, so detached from my own. I wonder how they could be watching the same TV shows and films, using the same money, yet living that life?
