I guess I missed a lot of the Searchers. I wanted John Wayne’s racist self-serving veteran to be offset by a non stereotypical racist depiction of Native Americans. Which it wasn’t, the War Chief of the Comanches being played by a German. The Searchers is a case of a film I read about, put on a list, then forget why it was on that list. Reading about now, I feel I missed some very key aspects.
