I enjoyed the first part of The Dark Knight, the rise of the Joker, the creation of Two-Face, the moral dilemma's of terrorism. It was satisfying and entertaining. Then it didn't end, it just kept going. I shouldn't let it's length bog down my impression of the film. It elevates the story far beyond the genre. And it ends on a remarkable note, an unlikely set up for another incisive sequel.
