Highly stylized and schizophrenic inspirations of the life of Bob Dylan. I very much appreciate the high concept and the beautiful execution. The respect for the complexity of audience and the subject makes it a great structure for a biography. That notwithstanding, not knowing the details or some of the broad strokes of Dylan's life, it was hard to comprehend and be engaged. The interplay between the stories was fine for the most part, but did create several false endings. I can only hope I'm Not There's ideals can be applied to future biographical films.
