Hate is a strong word, tedium is more appropriate. Everything in Slumdog Millionaire is expected. There are zero surprises or revelations. The plot is driven by a fairy tale and, to erase all interest, told through flashbacks. The cinematography is pretty good, apart from some inappropriate effects, the camera finds abundant beauty in the slums. If only it didn't serve a terrible film.
