Gripping and thrilling, I found myself invested in the very convincing world of the film. Which led me to be disappointed, it felt like it doesn't carry the realism far enough. The story take shortcuts and is too convenient at times. It sets up an incredibly evil corporation, which welds awesome power in a vacuum. There is no sign of any government, and the when the power is brought down, it doesn't seem like enough. I'm nitpicking, because the story, the world and it's characters are excellent. District 9 is creative, intelligent and highly entertaining.
