Julius Shulman himself is a delight to watch, and the documentary does a good job of showing Shulman as Shulman. If anything there should have been more. The production itself is hokey and inexplicable at times. One sequence is shot in the Stahl House by cinematographer Dante Spinotti. It shows how beautiful and elegant the rest of the film could have been. If only the production team were as talented.
