It's bizarre how closely Anvil parallels This is Spinal Tap. But of course instead of comedy, there's perseverance, friendship, bad luck. The Story of Anvil peddles in disappointment, watching people who might have been rock gods toil in menial jobs, struggling for 30 years to still fulfill their dreams. It's excellently made and gets to the core of Anvil's experience. It also ends with some hope of success (at least in Japan).
