Tom, a thuggish real estate broker/petty criminal, spends his nights forcibly evicting low-income tenants to flip their buildings. A chance encounter with a former teacher relights the spark of the piano from his youth, and he devotes himself to the dream of a concert pianist. It's well made and acted, and both halves of Tom's life is strong. But I never felt the story took off. I kept waiting for a moment that would drive the story home. I didn't dislike it, but I wouldn't say I liked it. I'm apathetic.
