I'm disappointed, though I not sure what I expected. Bad Lieutenant meanders, then picks up when Nicolas Cage gets really deep into trouble, and ends with a bizarre fantasy. I can understand the idea that it's purposefully, cable TV-quality bad. That the plot is just a stage for Cage to play coked up cop. But the film is never bad enough, or fun enough, or strange enough to convince me of it.
