As funny and insightful as I remembered it. It revels in the details of life in the DDR, a part I always find interesting. It's Ostalgia, but I appreciate the complications of it. The characters take the situations in stride. And it's fun. From the search for Spreewald-Gurken, to Christiane's passive-aggressive complaints, to the La Dolce Vita-homage flying Lenin. It's a film that hits a lot of my interests.
