A grand uncomplicated adventure, with the old guard Hollywood stars falling in love. The African Queen shows it age at times, the flat special effects, crude nature shots and the simplistic depiction of the Africans. But the attraction is Bogart and Hepburn. Love-hate relationship at the center of the story succeeds with their strong chemistry.
