It's an effective documentary, dolling out facts while effectively creating a caper film. It's well done throughout, from the history of the international dolphin trade down "mission" being halted when a thermal camera picks out a muskrat. I do question the lack of sympathetic Japanese, the film presents it's ragtag team of Westerners as the only hope. But the Cove is extremely well made, very persuasive and emotionally impactful.
