A hilarious satire of inner motivations and vulnerabilities of a suburban high school. The film excels with it’s voice over narration laying bare the delusions of all the characters, from Matthew Broderick’s lustful civics teacher to Witherspoon’s ruthless overachiever. Witty, clever and sarcastic at times, it’s a funny examination of American morality.
