A nuanced, complex look at Alberto Fujimori's regime in Peru. In the film's central interview Fujimori recalls his triumphs, ignores his crimes and deludes himself about the future. Outsides of his telling, the documentary shows an objective take on a complex history. It becomes simplistic and ponderous at times, but the strength of the interview with Fujimori rescues it.
