A rough, aging and soon to be obsolete group of outlaws tries for one last score in the rapidly vanishing west. Forced into Mexico they bring senseless violence, hard-drinking male bonding and their unique existential code. I appreciated the violence less re-watching it, but I found the film far more inspired. Peckinpah goes for broke and succeeds.
