Good characters and well acted, Cecilia Roth is excellent in the lead. The story is moving at times, but so fantastical it's hard to take seriously. The plot felt like a bizarre fairytale that's purposely taboo and extreme. It's a testament to the weight and reality of the characters that is engaging at all.
