A mixture of good and bad. It's plausible that the world's top assassin would want to meet and kill James Bond. And Francisco Scaramanga is a great character, almost a bizzaro Bond. It also features great locales and a fantastic half sunk RMS Queen Elizabeth as a covert headquarters. Then there is the half-baked, energy-crisis plot, the ditzy, incompetent assistant and the haphazard, ill-conceived return of Sheriff J.W. Pepper.
