Notable for being the first animated feature and for the extraordinary effort put into it's production. On the whole the film looks marvelous, filled with beautiful backgrounds, cute animals and the comical dwarfs. The story wisely draws attention away from the crudely animated humans and focuses on the animals and dwarfs. Disney animators had far more skill with subjects from the cartoon shorts. Considering the production it's fascinating to watch today and was no doubt spectacular when it debuted 75 years ago.
