First time watching it in 20 to 25 years (the previous time also being the only time). Hard to not be seeped in the culture around it. It certainly does quite a bit right. Lucas's recent changes were pretty obvious. And you could look past that to the original sets, miniatures, and stop motion. Star Wars is a sad place, by the end everybody Luke knows is dead (oh and an entire planet). And they don't even give the wookiee a medal!
