The Force Awakens has to be the least subtle film I’ve ever seen. It leaves nothing to chance. No reaction shot left behind. But it is Star Wars, a kids movie. Some satisfying set pieces, the snowy forest is nice. The new actors are nice. I avoided this so well for five years, I didn't even know Rey had an English accent.
